The flowers at Butchart Gardens are always in season whether it is summer, fall, winter or spring.  We are fortunate to live so close to such a beautiful world class attraction.

Although I have a season's pass I don't get down there as often as I should.  Maybe during this year of 2014 that will be one of my goals.  The Water Lilly's are always stunning when they are in bloom, and here I was able to capture a couple of them along with the lilly pads.

I have been trying to get better photos of my paintings as I have not been happy with the results generally so far.  My camera has lots of adjustments and options but I think the problem might be that I am downsizing them too much (150 kb).  Most blogs, etc. can only handle up to 1 MB so I think this picture is about 650 kb.  On first impression it seems to be a bit better!

This is Day 7 - we're a quarter of the way through - only 23 more paintings to go in the challenge.  Hmmmm!
