30 Paintings in 30 Days - Day One

This is the first painting in the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge.  I can see already that it is going to be a "Challenge" but will do the best I can.  Just read this morning that there are 360 registered for the challenge plus many who are painting but haven't registered.  We are encouraged to be as consistent as we can but not to worry if we miss a day or two along the way.  I'm hoping to paint 30!

I must admit that I had a little problem with this one to start with as I found the "tooth" on the canvas was quite heavy and therefore made it difficult to use a somewhat watercolor technique with the acrylic paint.  I persevered, tried some interesting approaches and at the end of two hours this is what I had!  On to day two!

The organizers suggest that we mention that each of these paintings are for sale and that we set a reasonable price on them.  This one is $45 for any that might be interested.
