I find the area around Esquimalt Lagoon so peaceful and restful that all of the tensions of life can soon disappear.  There are always lots of birds and waterfowl around and I have several photos of many of them.

Here are a couple of stately swans swimming silently on the salt water, the picture of peaceful contentment. The sky was clear blue reflecting in the stillness of the water where there was hardly a ripple of movement.
